Troopers: Dawn of Destiny will enter Phases 2 and 3 of the Make Something Unreal contest!
Over the past several months, there has been a great deal of confusion regarding the position of Troopers in relation to the now-famed Make Something Unreal contest, hosted by Epic Games. The initial release of Troopers: Dawn of Destiny was specifically timed so that the mod could be entered in Phase One of the competition. We were, however, hampered by the fact that our seeming ability to be judged in the competition fluxuated continually. At first, we believed ourselves able to enter the competition. Later, we found that this belief was false. Afterwards we again received word that entering the competition was a possibility, and so we were placed on the list of Contest finalists, only to find that our ability to enter the MSU contest was retricted by various factors. Finally, however, the Troopers Development Team can now firmly state that we will be entering into Phases Two and Three of the contest. All RIGHT!
To top it all off, Troopers is getting cooler every minute of every hour of every day. The patch is coming, and we're talking weeks (which, you have to admit, it pretty darn short for us). Stick with us, folks; there's a lot more on the way.

i just recently download the troopers demo.im really hoping the full version is going to be alot better.im a bit dissapointed in the size of the maps compaired to the size of the players.i felt i was an ant.it seemed like it took forever to get around.having to shoot someone 10 million times wasnt all that great either.on a positive i thought the maps,skins and weapons looked GREAT.i know this is just a demo,so im praying that the full version will be much better.either way,good luck guys.....

I'll bet even you guys are surprised at this one! Has Lucasarts or Lucasfilm ever done ANYTHING even close to this for the community before? Let's hope you are the first of many to get these sort of priveleges. It would certainly help spread, the Star Wars universe into every modable game out there. Good luck in the contest.

Lucasarts actually backed you on this? i have to say you lot must be very skilled negotiators :) Virtually every other site has been asked to cease and desist its modding of Star Wars Galaxy. A new standpoint from lucasarfts perhaps? Either way Troopers has the support of me and all the other fans out there! Keep up the work and kick some ass!

It's nice to see LucasArts taking such a step, this is something that most companies would frown upon. Now if only LucasArts would go back to their gaming roots, it'd be a perfect world ;)

Very nice indeed, as the game will become much more realistic (TIE sounds, and maybe even better (if it's possible ;) ) blaster sounds, maybe even some more easter eggs, who knows ...)
... Someone could get in contact with Mr. John Williams ? ;) well ... just joking ...
