Troopers: Dawn of Destiny, the Star Wars themed total conversion for UT2004 is now looking for new mappers to expand its ranks before the next major release of the mod. More information about the latest version of Troopers can be found here in the manual
The qualifications for the postion are as follows
Level Designer
Requirements:
* Ability to work well in UnrealEd 3.0
* Extensive experience with importing assets into the editor
* Knowledge of the various AI related map actors and how to use them
* Ability to optimize maps by all means available in the Unreal engine
* Experience with terrain generation
Preferable Skills
* Experience within 3D Studio Max R4 / R5 / Maya
* Experience with the UnrealEd 3.0 Matinee system
* Ability to texture your own works (Texture creation not necessary)
* Ability to create emitter effects to be used in the map
Required Examples of Work:
Links to released Unreal Tournament 2003/4 maps are strongly preferred. For other next generation Unreal engine maps, please supply screenshots of the map and a link to a review if available.
These expamples should be sent to and carbon copied to Experience in Assault/Objective based mapping is a plus.
And for those of you waiting on our map patch, we have run into a few errors that need to be fixed up before we can release it so please hang tight as we sort these out.
I would be very interested to see some sketches of maps to work on. I have just learned to map (sorry I dont have any original works done just tweaks and tutorials) I have been working with Communist Aggression but there is some dispute in coding and such and I would like a second Mod to work on. You can talk to the Communist Aggression team if you have any doubts in my abilities or my commitment. I do Web designing, forums as well as graphic design.
