Last week I began a story of a time long ago in a galaxy far, far away. For those of you who missed it, you may still find it here at Beyond Unreal waiting for your viewing pleasure.

We have selected 20 new beta testers from the countless dozens of applications we received. We'd like to thank everyone who submitted an application. Unfortunately for those who weren't selected, we can only handle 20 beta testers. If you haven't received an email by now, there's nothing else to do than to wait for our official release - which is coming soon.

With the coming of Phase 3 of the Make Something Unreal contest in only 3 weeks, a time has come once more in the development of the Star Wars themed Troopers: Dawn of Destiny mod to accept new beta testers to help test the mod and to give input. For everyone interested in helping us polish our release for this phase of the competition: now is your chance to get your hands on Troopers early.
The following list of requirements applies to the beta testing positions:

Kinetic Studios has acquired the web address ut2004troopers.com with the help of our host Jolt. As of yesterday, that address is the primary means of reaching the Troopers site. Note that the site itself has not changed; the updated URL merely accompanies our switch to Unreal Tournament 2004 as the base for our mod.
We have also changed our IRC room to reflect the move to UT2004. It can now be found at #ut2004troopers on GameSurge. Make sure to update your bookma.....

Although most fans are already aware of our plans to port Troopers to Unreal Tournament 2004, some of you might have slipped through my fingers as I tightened my grasp.
Well here is the official word from the front lines of Hoth: Kinetic Studios has decided to cease all further development on Unreal Tournament 2003 and switch to Unreal Tournament 2004. We have already ported our current beta code over and are continuing the development process at a brisk pace.

With our search for animators coming to fruition, Kinetic Studios presents a short 9 MB trailer of the latest build of Death Star vehicle footage. You can see the trench, the Death Star's hanger, the new Heads Up Display and the new sprinting feature in this movie. Although this movie contains similar content as the trailer we released earlier, it is not the same.
