It is with great pride and pleasure that the Troopers Development Team, now operating under the name Kinetic Studios, is releasing it's second iteration of Troopers: Dawn of Destiny. With months upon months of brutally hard work going into the finest details of its creation, Troopers is a positively revolutionary modification. The bad news is this: we're a tad late. Okay, we're a lot late. Just like last time, actually, so I guess we can start calling it a habit -- albeit a bad one. But hey, it's out!

The Troopers release day is finally coming up, and it's been one heck of a ride to get to it. Feared by some, awaited by most, it is one of the many destinations the team has been seeking out in our multi-year journey of mod development. Thus far, the public has had access to only a single release -- our initial Demo, with all its bugs and pitfalls. Well, folks, it's time to change that.

Ê Troopers Announces Open Beta Testing Ê - Ê eXoR[Troopers] Ê - Ê19th Oct 2003 16:55

Earlier this week, Epic announced that the deadline for entries into Phase 2 of their Make Something Unreal competition has been postponed by two weeks. Based on that announcement, the Troopers Team has decided to push the release back slightly. This will give us more time to make sure we cross our T’s and dot our I’s.
Don’t despair though – it won’t be a long wait. In fact, if you’re interested in helping us polish our release, it will be hardly any wait at all. Hot on the heels of our request for cross-platform compatibility tester.....

The contest deadline is drawing near, and that means that another release of Troopers is coming up. I am looking for one experienced Mac user and one experienced Linux user who are willing to help me create proper installation and execution scripts for Troopers on their platforms.
Here are the requirements for the position:
- Applicants for the Mac position must run Mac OSX 10.2.5 or above and own a Mac retail copy of UT2003.
- Applicants for the Linux position must run a recent and popular distribution of Linux and own a Linux retail copy of UT2003.

Yes, it's been a long time coming! We're pleased to be able to provide an official newspost from the Troopers team to keep you up with what's happening behind the scenes.
We are all extremely excited about being deemed eligible to enter Phase2 of the 'Make Something Unreal' competition hosted by our friends at Epic, and as such we have had our heads down busily creating content.
