Where be that darned changelog? - ViperEye - 04th Nov 2003
Oopsie.
We forgot to include a changelog with our initial release of V2. Oops! But that's okay, because as things calm down a bit, we can start to play catch-up. First up: the changelog!
Four brand-new, fully playable maps: TR_CTF-CarbonFreeze, TR_DM-StarDestroyer, TR_CTF-StarDestroyer and TR_OBJ-EndorLandingPad, the latter of which utilizes our brand-new gametype: Objective Match.
Two sweet new weapons: Han Solo's classic DL-44 makes its way into the fray, combining powerful shots with the ability to pistol-whip at close range, and the long-begged-for Thermal Detonator finally arrives, replete with awesome effects and sweet usability.
Two silky new announcer sets: didn't enjoy the Kaminoan accent of the first release? Try out the smooth voices of Correllia and Coruscant.
All blaster bolts have been made faster, just like you wanted. You no longer have to lead your target as much as before -- though good aim is still a necessity!
There was always a great deal of worry about how our targetting system could cometimes screw things over for ambushers; well, no longer! A revamped targetting model has the targetting brackets working only at long ranges and under certain conditions; it's now an effective tool for finding battlepoints from long ranges, but cannot be used to scout around corners or see through nearby walls. Not only that, but we've also thrown in some new voice comms to help you and your team prioritize targets!
We've implemented a slew of community requested features, like the much-desired static crosshair option, a firemode indicator for the E-11 blaster rifle, left-handed weapon support, reversed chat scrolling, and even an option to select chat text size.
To top it all off, we've fixed a ton of bugs that slipped into the Demo release, plus we optimized code, maps, and textures for better performance all around.
Still not satisfied? Well, check out our online manual! It has everything you'll need to get convinved and want to start downloading!
Speaking of which, Kinetic Studios as a whole would like to apologize for the total mess that downloading the mod has been. We promise you, however, that we're doing everything in our power to clean things up as best as we possibly can, as soon as we can possibly do it! Make no mistake, we want things to be as perfect for you folks as is humanly possible.
part of the reason for demos is to discover bugs that my ohterwise go unnoticed by the development team and plague a final release. also it is a good time for community imput for the development team to make a game that is more waht you are wanting to play. btw excelent game guys!

peter, the team DOES produce a full version. but it just takes time, to build up a whole new game, with all its elements. but demos are made, to let the community know, how troopers will be in the end, and to give a little overview.
just btw. no other mod released a full version yet. they all just delivered alphas, or maybe betas
greetz
Why always Demos ??
